City Lacrosse Overnight Camp Grows the Game

City Lacrosse is a non-profit organization that provides free lacrosse and youth development programs to boys and girls in South Los Angeles, Compton, and Inglewood.  Launched just over a year ago, City Lacrosse now serves more than 250 kids across 6 program sites.  This summer, they’ve partnered with StringKing to host their 2nd annual City Lacrosse Overnight Camp.

The camp will take place at The Thacher School in Ojai and will include 80 boys and girls not only from City Lacrosse in LA, but also from the Oakland Lacrosse Club, Denver City Lax, and BRIDGE Lacrosse (Dallas).  This is an incredible opportunity for many deserving kids who otherwise would not have the chance to get out of the city and attend such a camp.  As the lead sponsor, StringKing has made a gift of $6,000 to fund the camp, but more help is need to to reach the $25,000 goal that will ensure that all 80 kids can make their camp dreams a reality.

If you would like help give some amazing young lacrosse players from South LA, Compton, and Inglewood the opportunity to experience a life-changing overnight, go to the City Lacrossse fundraising site at

As a thank you, supporters of City Lacrosse Overnight Camp will be eligible to receive cool prizes from StringKing.  To learn more or get involved with City Lacrosse, please visit or contact Founder and Executive Director Mike Levin at
