The Corona del Mar boys lacrosse team, still reeling over their win Tuesday against Torrey Pines, kicked off Sunset League play with a 12-4 win over Edison High School. It was a big night for the class of 2022. Junior Ty Caffarelli led the Sea Kings with a hat trick. Juniors Lucas Newton, Nic Peloso, and Peyton Tingley all netted a pair, and juniors Tyler Brown and Sam Thompson led the Kings defensively with 6 and 4 ground balls respectively.

Next up for the Sea Kings is cross-town Sunset League rival Newport Harbor HS in the annual “Battle of the Bay” game this Saturday, noon at CDMHS.
