Capo.jpgA late fourth quarter comeback by Temecula Valley fell short when Capo’s Drew Casas collected a pass from Blake Berk and found the back of the net with 1:20 left in overtime, securing a 9-8 win over Chaparral.

Berk factored in all but one of the Capo goals, finishing the game with 7 points (5 goals and 2 assists).

Capo found themselves down 5-3 at halftime with Casas scoring on an assist from Sam Slobom in the first quarter. Berk scored unassisted on a dodge from X and then assisted on a Slobom goal to complete the first half Capo scoring.

Capo added two more in the first 4 minutes of the 4th, one by Parker Webb and a man-up goal by Blake Berk, to take control at 8-5. Chaparral fought back to make it 8-7 with 50 seconds remaining. Penalties were a burden for Capo all evening long, and Chaparral scored their fourth man-up goal with under 30 seconds remaining to tie the game at 8 while Capo was down two men.
