Capo Starts to Surge as Playoffs Approach

Last week the Capistrano Valley girls lacrosse team upset two ranked opponents. Capo began the week with a 4-7 record, and on Tuesday, the Cougars  traveled to Aliso Niguel  (6-3 at the time) to battle for first place in the South Coast League.  The Cougars emerged from the game with a 10-8 victory and a share of first place. The Cougars were led by senior midfielders Danielle Zahn and Allie Butler, Zahn scored 4 goals and Butler had 1 and a assist.  On Thursday, Capo Valley  hosted Temecula Valley (8-2 at the time). The Cougars jumped out to a 7-2 halftime lead. and rode that to a 10-6 victory.

The Cougars (6-7) continue South Coast League play when they  travel to Tesoro (3-8) on Tuesday 4/21.
