Two high-profile recruiting showcases took center stage this week as the California Gold and Adrenaline Showcase events got underway up in the Bay Area. Both events are loaded with players from Orange County.
California Gold, now run by 3d–the same folks who put on the Nike Blue Chip event in Baltimore–was held in Danville and featured invite-only one-day showcases for players graduating in 2013, 2014 and 2015. Run by lacrosse legend Peter Worstell, the event’s main focus is “to provide an extraordinarily productive and valuable experience for college coaches while providing significant exposure for the very top players in the West.”
