The Beckman boys lacrosse team established themselves as the front-runners in the Pacific Coast League with a resounding 21-2 victory over PCL rival Northwood on Wednesday. Both teams were 3-0 in league play entering the game. The Patriots now own sole possession of first place with a 4-0 league record.
Beckman had 11 players finding the back of the net. Scoring for the Patriots were:

Beckman’s defense held Northwood scoreless until the 4th quarter and was led by junior Justin Cheng, with 7 gb’s and 6 takeaways. Freshman Josh Carter, had 1 gb and 1 takeaway, and freshman Alex Gillman had 2 gb’s and 1 takeaway.
Max Cody was 19-26 on face-offs and scooped 11 gb’s to help Beckman maintain those critical possessions.
Goalie Tyler Schweickert had 7 saves between the pipes.
Coach Matt Cannone said “It was a very important game league wise today, we wanted to make sure we left no doubt. We had 11 different players get on the scoreboard. The offense shared the ball well and the defense played a sound game
The Timberwolves goals were scored by seniors Michael Bellas and Ben Langdon.
