Agoura Pulls Away from West Ranch in Second Half

Sixth-ranked Agoura outscored host No. 14 West Ranch 5-1 in the second half Saturday, pulling away for a 9-5 victory to improve to 3-0. West Ranch fell 2-2.

Senior Marty Shargel led the Chargers with three goals. Freshman Douglas McCarthy had two goals and an assist, and sophomore Gage Garrison scored two goals. Junior Brad Roache (1g, 1a) and freshman Boaz Conrad (1g) rounded out the Agoura scoring.

Defensively, Agoura received eight saves from goalie Zach Tripp, a sophomore who started at attack last season but is playing between the pipes this season.

For West Ranch, junior attack Adam Doyle scored three goals, and senior attack Jacob Gandara scored two. Senior middie Teo Domic recorded three assists.
