RC Elite, SC Sharks Black Win Elite Titles at AFR

RC Elite and SC Sharks Black each claimed division titles in the high school boys elite divisions at the Adrenaline America’s Finest Rivalry tournament in Del Mar over the weekend.

In the ADRLN Elite division, RC Elite defeated LaxDawgs Elite 9-5 in the title game. RC went 2-0-1 in pool, beating LaxDawgs 9-4 and Movin Up Elite 15-0 after an opening 6-6 tie with Vegas Starz Elite. RC then beat Vegas 9-4 in the semifinals Sunday before beating LaxDawgs again for the title.

LaxDawgs went 2-1 in pool, beating Movin’ Up 6-5 and Animals Elite A 13-5 (pictured, above) wrapped around the loss to RC Elite. Sunday, LaxDawgs beat Animals again in the semifinals.

In the Gatorade Elite division, San Clemente Sharks Black defeated 3d Southland 2018/2019 6-5 in the title game. SC Sharks Black went 2-0-1 in pool, tying Beach Burn 10-10 and beating Lax Dawgs 2018/2019 16-2 and Diamond Cut Crew 17-1. The Sharks squad then avenged its tie by beating Beach Burn 9-7 in the semifinals.

3d Southland went 2-1 in pool play, beating Diamond Cut Crew Elite 16-1 and LaxDawgs 2018/2019 12-1 but losing 6-5 to Beach Burn. 3d reach the title game with a 4-2 in over Arizona Hot Sauce Elite in the semifinals.

The SC Sharks Red squad also claimed a championship at AFR, beating 3d Southland 2020 9-7 to win the Vendetta HS division.

That victory also avenged the Sharks’ only loss of the vent, a 5-3 defeat at the hands of 3d Southland in Saturday’s pool play. SC Sharks finished second to 3d Southland in pool play, beating LaxDawgs HS 7-2 and Movin Up HS 7-5. The Sharks beat Movin Up again in the semifinals by a 5-4 count to reach the title game.

3d Southland 2020 went 3-0 in pool play, beating Movin Up HS 6-1 and LaxDawgs HS 6-0 wrapped around the 5-3 win over SC Sharks Red. After a 9-2 win over LaxDawgs HS in the semis, though, 3d Southland fell in the title game.

In the Strife HS division, RC HS avenged a 7-6 pool-play loss to Vegas Starz HS by beating Vegas 6-5 to claim the division title. RC HS had little trouble in its other pool games, winning all by a combined score of 34-2. RC HS then beat Seattle Starz HS United 6-2 on Sunday morning to reach the title game.
