Sunday evening the Adrenaline Tropics defeated Beast Bravehart Lax 17-3 in the championship game of LXM|ATS Cocoa in Cocoa Beach, Fla. Six Orange County players were selected to play for the Tropics and helped them cruise to a championship in a highly competitive tournament.
The Adrenaline Tropics team that was put together was a combination of some of the best talent on the West Coast. There were also representatives from Texas and Indiana. This select team was made up entirely of committed high school seniors plus three committed juniors two of which were from Orange County: Chaz Dotson (JSerra Catholic High School) and Nate Morano (Foothill High School).
It was noted that the Tropics won each of their games by more than 10 goals and that some people said it was the best lacrosse they’d ever seen at the high school level.
Mitch Kingsley (JSerra Catholic), Hayden Ruiz (Santa Margarita Catholic), Chaz Dotson, Nate Morano (Foothill), and Austin Streeter (San Clemente) all represented Orange County during the dominating performance in Cocoa Beach. Peyton Garrett (San Clemente) would have joined the bunch making it six players from Orange County but was injured last week at LXM|ATS Las Vegas.
