The growth of lacrosse is creating a new Orange County tradition. The college coaches and players call it Fall Ball. We call it Reunion Weekend.
Many colleges culminate Fall Ball workouts with tournaments and scrimmages in October before taking a break to get ready for the Spring season. For the players, these games are a chance to gauge their preparation for college competition and maybe catch up with an old high school friend or rival. For parents, the games are the perfect excuse to go visit junior for the first time since dropping him off in August or September, and for the freshman parents, the excitement is particularly acute. It’s an opportunity to see their son in his new uniform for the first time, visit the locker room, meet the teammates, and hopefully see their son get some time on the field.
One thing is for certain, the social media will be buzzing on Reunion Weekend. Here is a sampling of some of our favorite pictures that we came across this weekend.
