What’s Happening in OC Lacrosse: West Coast FCA Tryouts, Manhattan College Prospect Camp and More
West Coast FCA will be holding tryouts for its middle school teams on October 20 from 4 – 6 PM at the St. Margaret’s Episcopal School (31641 La Novia Avenue, San Juan Capistrano. FCA will be fielding three grade-specific (6,7, and 8) middle school teams, and participating in the Fall Brawl, Palm Desert Classic, Adrenaline Challenge, and Sandstorm Festival. Santa Margarita Catholic High School senior Wes Schuler sent in a tip that his future team, the Manhattan College Jaspers will be hosting a prospect camp on October 27 at the Manhattan College campus in Brooklyn, New York. Schuler reports that the Manhattan coaching staff likes what they see in the OC, and is very interested in attracting more lacrosse talent from this area. Joining Schuler at the Division 1 program next fall will be Hunter Edington (St. Margaret’s Episcopal School).

Today in the High Octane Box League at Laguna Hills Sports Complex the Broncos take on the Colts at 7pm and the Chargers take on the Ravens at 8pm. OCLOA is looking for new talent. If you are interested in becoming a lacrosse official, take the necessary steps starting with this Saturday’s clinics. The first session was postponed so it is not too late to start your training!
This Sunday the southern division of the SCILL box league will have their playoffs down at SJC Sports Rinks. The times of each game are TBD but MaxLax will be there covering the action for the High School Division.
