No. 1 Loyola improved to 3-0 with a dominating 18-1 road win over Great Oak (Temecula), which was ranked No. 6 in the preseason Orange County coaches poll.
Ten different Cubs scored, including six players with multiple goals, led by Henry Hasenberg with three goals. Wes Priestly (2g, 4a) had a team-high six points for Loyola, which led 10-0 before Great Oak got on the board with 2:38 left in the first half. Jonathan Partamian, Ryder Mora, Ronan Gallagher and Liam Miller each scored two goals for Loyola.
Great Oak fell to 0-3, having lost 12-5 to Foothill, 9-8 in overtime to Murrieta Mesa, and Saturday to Loyola. The Wolfpack play at St. Margaret’s on Tuesday.
Loyola is home against Oak Park (3-0) on Thursday before Foothill visits on Saturday, March 11.
