2016 Preseason Top 20 Countdown: 15-11

The countdown rolls on. Wednesday, we began revealing the 2016 preseason Top 20 with teams ranked from No. 20 through No. 16. Below, we present the next five in the 2016 preseason Top 20, No. 15 to No. 11.

 
MaxLaxLA invited 46 coaches and team representatives in the US Lacrosse LA/Ventura area to rank the Top 20 teams heading into the 2016 season. Voting anonymously online, 16 coaches and team reps took part. MaxLaxLA cast one ballot, for a total of 17 votes.

15. Sierra Canyon

Coach: Mario Waible
Last season: 13-4 overall, 5-1 Gold Coast (first place).
2015 Playoffs: Lost to West Ranch in pre-first-round game.
Top returning players: Middie Jake Pistotnik, senior (Gold Coast POY); M/A/FO Miles Rosberg, junior (all-Gold Coast at attack); middie Matt Chopp, sophomore (all-Gold Coast); defender Corey Scamman, senior (all-Gold Coast); goalie Trevor Clark, sophomore (all-Gold Coast).

14. Redondo Union

Coach: Jesse Cox (first year; replaces Adam Sear)
Last season: 6-11 overall, 1-5 Bay League.
2015 Playoffs: Lost at Westlake in the first round.
Top returning players: Attack Preston Faecher, senior (committed to Maryland); LSM Gavin Scouton, junior (committed to Ferrum).

13. Oaks Christian

Coach: Jeremy Sieverts (first year; replaces Brick Conners)
Last season: 4-11 overall, 2-8 Marmonte League.
2015 Playoffs: None.
Top returning players: Defender Cole Eisel, senior; defender Kaveh Torabian, senior; defender Conor MacLeod, junior; middie Evan Phillips, senior; M/A Seamus O’Brien, sophomore; M/A Cort Rogers, sophomore; M/A Lorenzo Santor, junior.

12. Chaminade

Coach: Steve Lane
Last season: 9-10 overall, 2-6 Mission League (fourth place).
2015 Playoffs: Lost at Harvard Westlake in first round.
Top returning players: Middie Ryan Oaks, senior (second-team all-Mission, committed to Ohio Wesleyan); defender Cole Millard, senior (second-team all-Mission; committed to Eastern); middie/FO Mark Galanti, senior; goalie Peter Manfredonia, senior.

11. Oak Park

Coach: Tarik Ergin
Last season: 9-8 overall.
2015 Playoffs: Lost to Newbury Park in the first round.
Top returning players: Defender Brandon Byer, senior; A/M Max Bulko, junior; A/M Adam Julius, sophomore; middie Bryce Hardy, sophomore. Note: As reported a few weeks ago, Oak Park is without senior middie Brendan Egan (committed to Bucknell) and sophomore defender Evan Egan (committed to North Carolina), as the family moved to San Diego between semesters.
