The Torrey Pines Falcons (#1 San Diego, #4 West) took a 6-0 1st quarter and never looked back.
Senior attackman, Marc Lefferdink started the scoring by flashing in front of the goal to receive a nice pass from senior attackman, Josh Sherman (Ohio Weslyan). Senior Spence Small scored next when he picked up a loose ball in front of the goal to make the score 2-0. Lefferdink scored again taking a pass from Aldrick Van de heyde to make the score 3-0. Josh Sherman scored the 4th goal on an assist from Zac Friedland (Georgetown). The Torrey Pines next goal was scored by senior captain and Under Armour All American Beau Botkiss (Harvard) who stripped the ball from the Westview midfielder. Botkiss then led the fastbreak dishing the ball to Lefferdink who passed the ball back to Botkiss who scored to make the score 5-0. The final goal of the quarter was scored by Senior captain Ara Suhadolnik (UMass) seeing Torrey Pines up 6-0 at end of 1st quarter.
2nd quarter was all Torrey Pines too. Shayne Grant (Richmond) started the scoring off. Goals by freshman Alex Pistorius (assist Spencer Small), Marc Lefferdink (assist Friedland), senior Brendan Egan (Bucknell) and Shayne Grant (assist Botkiss) saw the half end Torrey Pines 11, West View 0.
The Falcons completely dominated the first half. Senior Falcon goalie Max McGuire (Fairfield) was not tested as Torrey Pines had possession of the ball most of the half.
The second half was played mostly with a running clock as Torrey Pines build up a 12 goal lead with Egan scored again with an assist from Van der heyde. Torrey Pines made a goalie change in the 2nd half. Sophmore Maikal Fraboni (Air Force) played the 3rd quarter and recorded 4 saves and sophmore goalie Noah Hytken had 2 saves. Torrey Pines was able to play most of their roster in the 2nd half. Spencer Grant won 12 out of 17 faceoffs.
Westview picked up the intensity in the 4th quarter. The Wolverines controlled the 4th quarter getting off numerous shots on goal. Cole Zarola had 2 4th quarter goals for Westview. Westview goalie Connor Ciemiewicz (Linenwood) had 12 saves on the night.

Torrey Pines next game is Wednesday night, 7:00 pm at Ed Burke Field against the Cathedral Catholic Dons in the Open Division semifinal game.
